AP-- Top Gingrich aides resign from presidential campaign
Republican Newt Gingrich's senior aides on his presidential campaign have resigned, according to the Associated Press.
Press secretary Rick Tyler told the AP that he, campaign manager Rob Johnson, and other strategists and aides in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina stepped down. Politico said the aides quit over a "different vision" for the campaign.
The former House speaker, making his first try at elected office since leaving Congress in 1998, was told earlier today that his entire top staff was departing.
